This is a free crochet pattern, photo tutorial on how to crochet socks. 



I made this socks a year ago when my daughter had her chickenpox, click here to read this blog. I just made some free crochet patterns and as a promise here is the pattern for the red crochet socks.


Needed


Hook Size: 00/3.50MM to be used in round 1-23 and 

(Optional) G/6-4.25MM hook to be used in round 24-29

Yarn:  Fingering Yarn


Terms Used

Fpdc:       Front Post Double Crochet 

Beg fpdc: Beginning Front Post Double Crochet

Bpdc:      Back Post Double Crochet


Crochet Socks Instrcutions


Chain 10


Round 1 : Ch3 (consider as 1st dc), 3dc in the same st, *(dc in next st) 8 times*, 5dc in last st, repeat * to * once more, 1 dc in last st, end with sl st in 1st dc. (26dc)


Round 2 : Beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), 1 fpdc in next 2dc, *(1bpdc in next 2dc, 1 fpdc in next 2dc) twice*, 1bpdc in next 2dc, 1fpdc in next 3dc, repeat *to* once more, 1bpdc in next 2dc, end with sl st in 1st fpdc.  


Round 3 - 13 : Repeat round 2


Round 14a: SOLE PART


Round 14a: SOLE PART ( Row 1): Beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), 1 fpdc in next 2fpdc, *(1bpdc in next 2bpdc, 1 fpdc in next 2fpdc) twice*, 1bpdc in next 2bpdc, 1fpdc in next 3fpdc.


Round 14a: SOLE PART (Row 2): Turn, beg bpdc (consider as 1st bpdc), 1 bpdc in next 2bpdc, *(1fpdc in next 2fpdc, 1bpdc in next 2bpdc) twice*, 1bpdc in next 2bpdc, 1fpdc in next 3fpdc. 


Round 14a: SOLE PART (Row 3): Turn, beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), 1 fpdc in next 2fpdc, *(1bpdc in next 2bpdc, 1 fpdc in next 2fpdc) twice*, 1bpdc in next 2bpdc, 1fpdc in next 3fpdc.

Round 14a: SOLE PART (Row 4): Repeat row 2

Round 14a: SOLE PART (Row 5): Repeat row 3.


Round 14a: SOLE PART (Row 6): Repeat row 2, Drop the thread, Fold into half, insert the hook in both corners and sl st the side together to close. Fasten off. Weave in ends.


Round 14b: Attach the thread at the joined sole, ch3 (consider as 1st dc), dc in next dc post, *(2dc in next dc post) 4 times*, 2dc in next dc post and bpdc in next bpdc together, bpdc in next bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc, bpdc in next 2bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc, bpdc in next bpdc, bpdc in next bpdc and 2dc in next dc post together, repeat *to* once more, dc in next dc post, end with sl st in 1st dc to join. (29 dc)


Round 15 : Beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), fpdc in next dc, (bpdc in next 2dc, fpdc in next 2dc) twice, bpdc in next 3dc tog, bpdc in next bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc, bpdc in next 2bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc,  bpdc in next bpdc, bpdc in next 3dc tog, (fpdc in next 2dc, bpdc in next 2dc) twice, fpdc in next dc, end with sl st to join.


Round 16: Beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), fpdc in next fpdc, (bpdc in next 2bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc) around, fpdc in last fpdc, end with sl st to join.

 Round 17-23 : Repeat round 16


Round 24 : (You can use your optional hook here G/6-4,25MM stainless hook), Ch3 , (dc in next st) around, end with sl st to join.


Round 25 : Turn to wrong side of the sock, beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), fpdc in next dc, (bpdc in next 2dc, fpdc in next 2dc) 6 times, bpdc in next 2dc, fpdc in last dc, end it with sl st to join.


Round 26 : Beg fpdc (consider as 1st fpdc), fpdc in next fpdc, (bpdc in next 2bpdc, fpdc in next 2fpdc) 6 times, bpdc in next 2bpdc, fpdc in last fpdc, end it with sl st to join.


Round 27-28 : Repeat round 26.


Round 29 : Ch1, sl st – ch4 – sl st in next st, (sl st in next 3sts, sl st – ch4 – sl st in next st,) 6 times, sl st in next 3sts, end it with sl st in 1st sl st.

Fasten off. Weave in ends.
