This crochet coaster is an easy and free crochet pattern for beginners with photo tutorial in each step.

Finished crochet coaster measurement - 4" in diameter.


Material Used

Hook: US H8  / 5.00MM

Yarn: Creme de la Creme ; Worsted weight yarn, 100% Cotton


Term Used

Ch: Chain  ;  Sc: Single Crochet  ;  Dc: Double Crochet  ;  

Sl st: Slip Stitch


Crochet Coaster Instructions

Begin with a magic ring(loop).


Round 1: Ch3 (consider as 1st dc), 15dc in the lp, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. (16dc)


Round 2:  Ch4 (consider as 1st dc and ch1 sp), dc in next dc, ch1, dc in next dc, ch1, dc-ch1-dc in next dc, ch1, *(dc in next dc, ch1) 3 times, dc-ch1-dc in next dc, ch1, repeat * 2 times more, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-4 to join. (20dc, 20 ch-1 sp)


Round 3: Ch1, sc in the same st, sc in next 1ch sp, (sc in next st, sc in next ch1 sp) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 4: Ch1, sc in the same st, ch1, (sc in next sc, ch1) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
