Crochet Kid's Bolero - Page 3

If you haven't seen the Crochet Kid's Bolero page 1, and Crochet Kid's Bolero page 2, read that first. 


Bodice Edging: 


Round 1: Attach thread in the lower back of the bolero  in 1st dc on right side of the joined motifs,


ch1, sc in the same st, *ch5, skip 3dc, sc in joined/corner motif, ch5, skip 3dc, sc in next dc, (ch5, sc in next 6ch sp) 3 times, ch5, skip 3ch sp, sc in 1st dc*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc.


Round 2: Ch1, (sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, sc, in next 5ch sp) around,  


Note: On the front side of the bolero, after crocheting three small petals, insert the string, do not cut. Continue the edging around, you will repeat the string again when you reach the other front side of the bolero parallel to the first string. (Small Petals edging)


Crochet String: Ch63, 20dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in 1st dc and in 3rd dc from the round dc, (ch1, skip 1ch, sl st in next ch) all through the ch, sl st in top of sc.

Fasten off.

Sleeve Edging: 

Round 1: Attach thread in the armpit side of the sleeve in 1st dc on right side of the joined motifs, ch1, sc in the same st, *ch5, skip 3dc, sc in joined/corner motif, ch5, skip 3dc, sc in next dc, (ch5, sc in next 6ch sp) 3 times, ch5, skip 3ch sp, sc in 1st dc*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ ch2, dc in 1st sc.

 Round 2: Ch1, sc in the same st, (Ch5, sc in next 5ch sp) around, end w/ ch2, dc in 1st sc.

 Round 3: Ch1, sc in the same st, (Ch5, sc in next 5ch sp) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc.

 Round 4: Ch1, (sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, sc, in next 5ch sp) around. (Small Petals edging)

Fasten off.
