Here is an early Christmas treat for crochet lovers, a free crochet pattern for a super scarf with the Christmas tree pattern that is sure to warm you up during the chilly outdoor fun activities whenever Christmas comes around. 

Super scarf is in 4 rows repeat, Multiple of 13 sts + 4 sts.

Finish measurement is 89” x 8 ½”

Material Needed

Hook: 5.50MM [US I- 9]

Yarn: # 4 - Worsted yarn

Yarn Used: Caron One Pound, Scarlet, 700 yards only


Terms Used

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet, Sp: Space,  Sk:Skip


Gauge

7 sts  , 2 rows of DC's = 2 "


Crochet Super Scarf Instructions

Row 1: Ch 30, dc in 5th ch from hook, [dc in next ch] 3 times, *ch 1, sk next ch, rep [ ] twice, ch 1, sk next ch*, rep [ ] 9 times, rep *to* once rep [ ] 5 times. 


Row 2: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, dc in next dc, *ch 1, sk next 3 dc and 1 ch sp, [4 dc in next dc] twice, Ch 1, sk next 1 ch sp and 3 dc*, dc in each of next 3 dc, rep *to* once, dc in each rem dc.


Row 3: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, dc in next dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, *ch 1, sk next 3 dc, [3 dc in next dc] twice, ch 1, sk next 3 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp*, dc in each of next 3 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, rep *to*, dc in each rem dc.


Row 4: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, *ch 1, sk next 2 dc, [2 dc in next dc] twice, ch 1, sk next 2 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp*, dc in each of next 5 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, rep *to*, dc in each rem dc.


Row 5: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, dc in each of next 3 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, *ch 1, sk next dc, [dc in next dc] twice, ch 1, sk next dc, dc in next 1 ch sp*, dc in each of next 7 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, rep *to*, dc in each rem dc.


Row 6-153: Rep row 2-5, continue to Edging (side).


Edging (side) Row 1: Ch 1, turn the scarf sideways, sc in the same st corner, ch 3, [sk next dc post, sc in next dc post, ch 3, sc in next dc post, ch 3] across the side, sc in next corner st.


Edging (side) Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, ch 3, [sk next 3 ch sp, sc in next sc, ch 3] across the side, sc in last sc. Fasten off.


Repeat the Edging on the other side, do not cut, continue on the edging of the scarf. Ch 3, dc in next sc post, dc in each of next 4 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, *ch 1, sk next dc, [dc in next dc] twice, ch 1, sk next dc, dc in next 1 ch sp*, dc in each of next 7 dc, dc in next 1 ch sp, rep *to*, dc in each rem dc and 2 sc post.
