Pattern is made out of dc and sc, an excellent pattern for beginners.

Finished beanie measurement is –

Height (crown to ear) 5 1/2”  x  Width (diameter) 7” , can fit to a 0-3 months baby.

This beanie can be a unisex beanie, depending on the color you choose, but what better way to announce "It's a Girl" with the crochet flower attachment.

Materials Used:

Hook: 5.00MM [US H-8]

Yarn Used: Caron Simply Soft, approx. 75 yards, Watermelon


Terms Used:

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet,  


Gauge:

4 inches square: 13 sc, 14 rows


Easy Baby Crochet Beanie Instructions:

Round 1: Make a magic crochet, ch 1, 10 sc in magic crochet, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 2: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc here and throughout the pattern), dc in the same st, 2 dc in each of next st around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. [20 dc]


Round 3: Ch 1, sc in the same st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [30 sc]


Round 4: Ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in each of next 2 st, *2 dc in next s, dc in each of next 2 st, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. [40 dc]


Round 5: Ch 1, sc in the same st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 3 st, 2 sc in next st, rep * around, sc in next st, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [50 sc]


Round 6: Ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in each of next st around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 7: Ch 1, sc in the same st, sc in each of next st around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.

Round 8-17:  Repeat round 6 and 7

Round 18: Ch 3, (turn the beanie into wrong side), dc in the same st, dc in each of next st around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join.

Round 19: Repeat round 7.


Fasten off.

Fold the beanie in round 17. Attach the flower.
