Easy Crochet Scarf 2

This is a free easy crochet scarf pattern with photo tutorial in each step. 

This is a great beginners crochet pattern. In this scarf, I used the chain and single crochet combination. For the stitch guide please click here.


Needed:

Hook: 4.25MM

Yarn: DK, Light weight 

(Philippine - Monaco Cotton Yarn 6ply)


Easy Crochet Scarf Instructions:

Row 1: Chain 272, 


sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 5, skip 5 ch, (sc in next ch, ch 3, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch, ch 5, skip 5 ch) across, end w/ sc in last st. (90 sc)


Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, ch5, skip 5ch, skip sc, sc in next 3ch sp, ch3,


sc in the same sp, ch3,


sc in the same sp, ch5, skip sc, (skip 5ch, skip sc, sc-ch3-sc-ch3-sc-ch3-sc in next 3ch sp,  ch 5, skip sc) 


Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, ch 5, skip 5 ch,  (skip next 3ch sp, sc-ch 3-sc in next 3ch sp, ch 5, skip next 3ch sp, skip 5 ch) across, end w/ sc in last st. (90 sc)


Row 4: Repeat row 2

Row 5: Repeat row 3

Row 6: Repeat row 2

Row 7: Repeat row 3 , cut off. (unfinished side)

Other side of the Scarf

Now, turn your scarf, attach the thread on the other side of the scarf .

Row 1: Ch1, sc in the same st, ch5, skip 5 ch, (sc-ch3-sc-ch3-sc-ch3-sc in next 1 ch sp, ch5, skip 5 ch sp) across, end w/ sc in last st.


Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, ch 5, skip 5 ch, (skip next 3ch sp, sc-ch 3-sc in next 3ch sp, ch 5, skip next 3ch sp, skip 5 ch) across, end w/ sc in last st. (90 sc)


Row 3: Repeat row 1

Row 4: Repeat row 2

Row 5: Repeat row 1

Row 6: Repeat row 2

Row 7: This row will serve as the edging around the scarf. 


Repeat row 1, do not cut off, 3sc on each corner, on the left and right side of the scarf, sc in each sc post w/ picot in every 3rd sc, 


then continue and repeat row 1 on the other side of the scarf to complete the row. Fasten off.
