Fine Yarn :  80 grams of Baguio yarn, Philippines (Six Strands)

Hook: G/6  -  4.25MM

Stitch Guide:

Shell St: (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in specified st

V-st: (dc,ch1,dc) in specified st

Picot: ch 3, sl st in specified st


Terms:

Ch : Chain  ;  Sc : Single Crochet  ;  Dc: Double Crochet  ;  

Sl st : Slip Stitch  ;  Rep : Repeat


Elaine Baby Hat Instructions:


Round 1: Magic crochet, 6 sc in magic crochet, end w/ sl st in 1 st sc to join.


Round 2: Ch1, 2sc in the same st, (2sc in next st) around, end w/ sl st in 1 st sc to join.


Round 3: Ch1, sc in the same st, ch2, dc in next st, ch2, *sc in next st, ch2, dc in next st, ch2, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 4: Ch4, 2dc in the same st, sc in next dc, *shell st in next sc, sc in next dc, rep * around, dc in next st, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of 4ch  to join. (6 shell st)


Round 5: Ch1, sc in the same st, ch1, v-st in next 1ch sp, ch1,  sc in next st, skip next dc, shell st in next sc, *skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch1, v-st in next 1ch sp, ch1, sc in next st, skip next dc, shell st in next sc, rep * around, skip 2dc,  dc  in next st, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. (6 shell st ; 6 V-st)


Round 6: Ch4, 2dc in the same st, sc in next dc, *shell st in next sc, sc in next 1ch sp, rep * around, dc in st, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of 4ch  to join. (12 shell st)


Round 7: Ch1, sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, *sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 8: Ch4, 2dc in the same st, sc in next dc, *shell st in next sc, sc in next 1ch sp, rep * around, dc in next st to complete 1st shell st, end w/ sl st in 3 rd ch of 4ch  to join. (12 shell st)

Round 9-16: Repeat 7-8

Round 17: Ch1, sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, *sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 18: Ch4, 2dc in the same st, skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch 1, v-st in next 1ch sp, ch 1, sc in next dc, skip next dc, shell in next sc, sc in next sc, *shell st in next sc, skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch 1, v-st in next 1ch sp, ch 1, sc in next dc, skip next dc, shell in next sc, sc in next sc, rep * around, dc in next st to complete 1st shell st,  end w/ sl st in 3 rd ch of 4ch  to join. Round 19: Ch1, sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, *sc in next 1ch sp, shell st in next sc, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. (18 shell st)


Round 20: Ch4, 2dc in the same st, sc in next dc, *shell st in next sc, sc in next 1ch sp, rep * around, dc in next st to complete 1st shell st, end w/ sl st in 3 rd ch of 4ch  to join. (18 shell st)

Round 21: Ch1, sc in next 1ch sp, (dc, picot) 3times in next sc, *sc in next 1ch sp, (dc, picot) 3times in next sc, rep * around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. (18 shell st)

Fasten Off, weave in ends.
