This is a free crochet pattern for Eunice Summer Bag.
In line with my Eunice pattern series, together with my Eunice Scarf and Eunice Summer Top, here is the Eunice Summer Bag, another easy free pattern that you may take with you to the beach this summer. Lightweight and easy to carry, this bag can carry your essentials for that casual trip to the beach or pool and also to the market or store to pick up your snacks.
This Eunice Summer Bag is crocheted from bottom up. Started at the bottom with back and forth instructions at the base in rectangular shape, then at row 4 (round 1) which will be start to crochet in round.
Size of the Finished Bag in flat is Width is 13" x Height is 17.5" (including handle)

Hook: 5.00MM [US H-8]
Yarn: Crème de la Crème, color Tearose, 2.25 balls, approximately 300 yds.
All terms are in USA terminology
Ch: Chain, Sc: Single Crochet, Dc: Double Crochet, Sp: Space, Sk: Skip, Rep: Repeat
Shell st (sh): 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in specified dc
Dc2tog: *Yarn over the hook, draw up a loop in next dc or dc2tog, yarn over the hook, draw through first 2 loops on hook*, sk next ch sp, rep *to* once more, Yarn over the hook, draw through all 3 loops on hook: dc2tog made.
2 inches square = 8 sts x 3 rows of dc
Row 1: Ch 53, dc in 7th from hook (consider ch 3 as 1st dc, ch 1 as space, ch 2 as foundation ch), *ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next ch, rep * across.
Row 2-3: Ch 4 (consider ch 3 as 1st dc and ch 1 as space here and throughout), turn, dc in next dc, *ch 1, sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, rep * across.
Round 1 (Row 4): Ch 4, turn, sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, [*ch 1, sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, rep * across but having (dc, ch 1, dc) in last dc, turn on next side, (ch 1, dc in next dc post) 3 times], (dc, ch 1, dc) in the corner stitch, turn on next side, rep [to] once more, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, *sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, rep * 6 times more, sk next ch sp, dc2tog.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, *sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, rep * 4 times more, sk next ch sp, dc2tog.
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, *sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, rep * twice, sk next ch sp, dc2tog.
Row 5: Ch 4, turn, *sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, rep * twice, sk next ch sp, dc in last dc2tog.
Row 6-8: Ch 4, turn, *sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, rep * twice, sk next ch sp, dc in last dc. [ 4 dc ]
Row 9: Ch 3, turn, dc in next ch sp, dc in next dc, sk next ch sp, dc in next dc, dc in next ch sp, dc in last dc. [6 dc]
Row 10-14: Rep row 9. Fasten off.
2nd Handle: In round 21 of the bag, sk nxt 3 sts from 1st handle, attach yarn in next dc. Rep row 1-14 of 1st handle. Attach both handle to each other using sl st.
3rd Handle: In round 21 of the bag, sk 11 sts from 2nd handle, attach yarn in next dc as shown on the photo. Rep row – 14 of 1st handle.
4th Handle: In round 21 of the bag, sk 3 sts from 3rd handle, attach yarn in next dc. Rep row – 14 of 2nd handle.
Fasten Off.
