This is a free crochet pattern for Granny Easy Scarf with photo tutorial in each step.
A beautiful scarf that appears complicated yet is really simple and easy to make. Light and easy to match up but keeps you warmed up when it starts to get cooler.
A basic double crochet stitch , 2 rows repeat that any beginner can tackle while doing a variety of things.
Easy
Hook: 5.50MM [US I- 9]
Yarn Weight: #4, Worsted yarn
Yarn Used: Red Heart yarn, 225 yards
Tapestry needle for weaving ends.
All terms are in USA terminology
Ch: Chain, Sc: Single Crochet, Dc: Double Crochet
2 inches square = 7 sts , 2 rows of DC's
Row 1: Ch 24, 3 dc in 6th ch from hook, *ch 1, sk next 3 ch, 3 dc in next ch, rep * across, sk next ch, dc in last ch.
Row 2: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, dc in the same st, ch 1, sk next 3 dc, *3 dc in next ch 1 sp, ch 1, sk next 3 dc, rep * across, 2 dc in last dc.
Row 3: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, sk next dc, 3 dc in next 1 ch sp, *ch 1, sk next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch, rep * across, sk next ch, dc in last ch.
Row 4 - 120: Rep row 2 and row 3. Continue to last row as edging.
Last Row: Ch 1, turn, ch 3, 2 dc in the same st, *sk next 3 dc, (sc, 3 dc) in next 1 ch sp, rep* across, sk next 3 dc, sc in last dc. Fasten Off.
Attach yarn on the other end of the scarf, ch 1, (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in the same st, *sk next st, (sc, 3 dc) in next 3 ch sp, rep* across, sk next 2 sts, sc in last st. Fasten Off.
Weave in all ends.
