This is a free crochet pattern for Kid's Wrist Pouch with photo tutorial in each step. A great pattern for Beginners. This is a great gift idea and wonderful loot bag or giveaway for those treasured occasions.

Skill Level:

Beginner


Materials Needed:

Hook: Stainless Hook 4 / 2.00 MM

Thread: Cannon 100% Mercerized Cotton, 8 Crochet thread, Shade No: SC031

2 Wooded Beads or any decorations alike


Terms Used:

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet,  Sl St: Slip Stitch  


Gauge:

2" square - 14 sts x 7 rows of DC's


Kid's Wrist Pouch Instructions:

Round 1: Ch 4 (consider ch 3 as 1st dc here and throughout the pattern), 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, sl st in 1st dc to join. [12 dc]

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in the same st, 2 dc in each of next dc around, sl st in 1st dc to join. [24 dc]

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, rep * around, sl st in 1st dc to join. [36 dc]

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, *(dc in next st) twice, 2 dc in next st, rep * around, sl st in 1st dc to join. [48 dc]

Round 5: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, *(dc in next st) 3 times, 2 dc in next st, rep * around, (dc in next st) twice, sl st in 1st dc to join. [60 dc]

Round 6: Ch 3, dc in the same st, (dc in next st) 4 times, *2 dc in next st, (dc in next st) 4 times, rep * around, sl st in 1st dc to join. [72 dc]

Round 7: Ch 3, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, *(dc in next st) 5 times, 2 dc in next dc, rep * around, (dc in next st) 3 times, sl st in 1st dc to join. [84 dc]

Round 8: Ch 3, dc in each of next st around, sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 9: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in the same st, sk next 3 st, *(sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next st, sk next 3 st, rep * around, sl st in 1st sc to join. [21 slanting 3 dc’s]


Round 10: Sl st in next ch 3 space, ch 1, turn, (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in the same dc post, sk next 2 dc, *(sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next dc post, sk next 2 dc, rep * around, sl st in 1st sc to join. 


Round 11-21: Rep round 10. Fasten Off.


Cord (make 2)

Ch 101, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each sts across the ch, Cut off.


Thread cord through 18th round. After threading cord, attach decorations to both tips of cord.
