Girlie's Crochet

Needed

Hook: US I9 / 5.50MM

Yarn: Red Heart worsted yarn - stash yarn

Yarn I used here:  Hunter Green and Spring Green


Gauge

4" - 18 stitches  : 13 rows

Laying flat: 9 1/2"  x  3 1/2"


Stitch Guide

Sc new color: Insert the hook in next 1ch sp, catch the new yarn and draw it through two loops on the hook, one loop remains on the hook, single crochet new color.


Beg Cluster: Ch2, (yarn over, insert hook in specified st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops, beg cl made. For photo tutorial please click here.

Cluster: (Yarn over, insert hook in specified st and draw up a loop; yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook: cl made. For photo tutorial please click here.


Terms Used

Sl St: Slip Stitch

Sc: Single Crochet

Dc: Double Crochet

Cl: Cluster Stitch

Beg Cl: Beginning Cluster

Sk: Skip


Lemon Headband Instructions

Chain 66, sl st to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch1, sc in the same st, (sc in nest st) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [66 sc]


Round 2: Ch2, sk next sc, (sl st in next sc, ch2,sk next sc) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sl st to join. Do not cut, drop the yarn.


and turn on the other side, right side facing to you, catch the drop yarn on the hook, as shown to photo below. 

Round 3: Ch1, sc in the same st, (sc in next st) around, on the last sc, 

use the sc new color stitch guide, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.

Round 4: Drop the yarn, catch the spring green color yarn, sl st in next 1ch sp, beg cl, ch1, sk next sc, (cl in next ch1 sp, ch1, sk next sc) around, drop the yarn, catch the hunter green color yarn, ch1, end w/ sl st in beg cl to join.


Round 5: Ch1, sc in the same cl, sc in next 1ch sp, (sc in next cl, sc in next 1ch sp) around, on the last sc, use the sc new color stitch guide, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.

Round 6-11: Repeat round 4 and round 5. 

When changing yarn color, try to hide it at the back by catching the yarn up to next round as shown in the photo below.


Round 12: Ch2, sk next sc, (sl st in next sc, ch2,sk next sc) around, end w/  sl st in 1st sl st to join. 


Fasten Off.
