When I was 5 months pregnant with my baby, we found out that he has congenital hydrochepalus. The size of his head is bigger than other fetuses. And the shape also is different. So, since then I put in my mind that I will breastfeed him when his out. I want him to be healthy because I know how wonderful breastmilk is. I want him to be stronger even though he has that kind of desease. But I know how other people discriminate breastfeeding mom, so I thought maybe I could make something to cover up me and my baby when breastfeeding in public.
I searched online about breastfeeding cover or nursing cover. Its not pricey at all but I want to make it memorable and I have confidence that I can make one. And I have a saying in myself that "why would I buy if I can make one?". So I searched for a free pattern online like I usually do when I want to make something. But there is no pattern, even in the groups in facebook I can't find. So I look for different types of nursing cover instead of searching a pattern. Then I picture in my mind the style I want and think of the right stitch and tada! I made one! Hehe! I know this is so simple but I am so happy and proud of myself that I made one on my own.
I've been using it since then, everytime that we go out or go to the hospital for his check up. And I can also use it as a scarf when its so cold in bus.
Thank you for reading my story and Sorry for my grammar. 😊
Ps. So far he doesn't need any operation now. I've been thanking Lord for making my baby healthy and hopefully it will be our last check-up in february 5, 2018. ❤
