Crocheted with love and perfect for spontaneous beach getaways, the Emily Bottle Holder is designed for both function and style. Named after one of my crochet students, this beginner-friendly project features a simple V-stitch texture that works up quickly.
The body is worked from the bottom up in continuous rounds, and the strap is crocheted back and forth from the final round—no seaming required! It’s the perfect last-minute make when you suddenly need a cute and functional bottle holder for a family beach day.

Emily Bottle Holder Instructions:
Round 1: Make magic ring, ch 2, 12 dc in the magic ring, sl st in first dc to join. (12 dc)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st and in each st rem, sl st in first dc to join. (24 dc)
Round 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st, dc in the same st, [2 dc in next st, dc in next st] around, sl st in first dc to join. (36 dc)
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the same dc and in each sts rem, sl st in first sc to join. (36 sc)
Round 5: Sl st in next sc (center of V-st from previous round) , ch 4 (consider ch 3 as 1st dc, and ch 1 as sp), sk next 2 sc, [v-st in next sc, sk next 2 sc] around, sl st in first dc to join. (12 v-st)
Round 6: Ch 1, sc in the same dc, [sc in next ch sp, sc in each of the next 2 dc] around, sc in next ch sp, sc in last dc, sl st in first sc to join. (36 sc)
Round 7 to 24: Rep round 5 and 6.
Round 25: Rep round 6 once more, do not cut, continue to the strap of the bottle holder.
Strap Instructions:
Row 1: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), dc in each of next 3 sc. (4 dc)
Row 2 to 45: Ch 3, turn, dc in each sts across. (4 dc)
Skip the next 14 sc, then sl st to the 15th sc to attach the other end of the strap.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
(Alternatively, you can fasten off and use a tapestry needle to sew the strap securely to the body of the bottle holder.)
